Overview
The KS-ASDM series DC Arc-Suppressing Device is a brand-new patented product developed to address the difficult arc-extinguishing problem of DC electric arcs in contact-type electrical switches (hereinafter referred to as switches) such as contactors, relays, circuit breakers, and micro switches. It is suitable for DC systems and can suppress the generation of arcs when the switch is disconnecting (breaking), effectively solving problems such as contact sticking and burning caused by the high temperature of electric arcs. It can increase the electrical life of the switch by up to a hundredfold, significantly improving safety and reliability, extending the service life cycle, and reducing manual maintenance costs. It is an environmentally friendly electronic product with extremely high social and economic value.
Features
- Effectively suppresses the generation of electric arcs when the switch is disconnecting (breaking).
- Industrial-grade design, stable and reliable performance.
- Adopts 35mm standard DIN rail mounting, facilitating easy installation and maintenance.
Working Principle
The product integrates power devices and an arc monitoring drive unit internally and is used in parallel with the switch. During the switch contact disconnecting process (breaking), when the internal arc monitoring drive unit detects that an arc is about to be generated across the switch contacts, it triggers the power device, which is connected in parallel with the switch contacts, to turn on (conduct) and bypass the current. The current is diverted to flow through the power device, resulting in no current passing through the switch contacts during their separation. Therefore, no arc is generated, achieving an arc-free breaking effect.
Product Usage Precautions
- The rated voltage and rated current of the arc-suppressing device selected should be no less than the actual working voltage and working current of the switch requiring arc suppression.
- To ensure the arc-suppressing effect of the product, the stable closing time of the switch requiring arc suppression should be greater than 100ms.
- The arc-suppressing device should be installed adjacent to the switch requiring arc suppression, with a connecting length preferably not exceeding 500mm.
- The positive and negative polarity of the wiring must not be reversed.
- Operating ambient temperature: -25~+45℃.
- Storage ambient temperature: -40~+60℃.
